The Silent Soul

This poem came from my mind that wouldn't stop, restless, thirsty, reaching for something I couldn't name.
Amid the frantic noise, something whispered: slow down, Monika.
That's when I found my inner sanctum.
I wrote this to remind myself that even a tired, thirsty mind can find its way out.
My poems come from lived experience. The moments I've felt too deeply to stay silent about. Raw emotions. Untold truths. Nothing is polished before it's honest; I'd rather a line feel true than perfect. Unspoken feelings - the grief, the healing, the tiny wins, so that others might recognize a piece of themselves in it too.

I wrote Balance at a time when I felt anything but balanced. Life felt scattered; some days I was on the edge, some days somewhere in the middle, simply trying to find my footing. There were mornings I woke up all smiles, only to feel it slip away by noon. Nights were trying to make sense of how one day could hold multiple versions of me. I wasn’t looking for perfect equilibrium. I was trying to find a way to stand without feeling like I might fall.
The poem came from that search. The puddles, pebbles, boulders, winds, clouds, and even the tiptoeing ballerina became different faces of my life as I was experiencing it. Balance isn’t about having everything perfectly in place. It could be learning to move through all of it. Somewhere between tears and joy, chaos and stillness, I found hope and the grace to hold it all.
Some days I was the unsettled puddle, rippling at the slightest touch. Other days, a pebble, small and steady, content just to be still. And on harder days, I learned that strength is not feeling nothing, but staying rooted beneath the weight. The winds reminded me that change is not a disruption, but often the teacher. Like a ballerina on her toes, I learned that balance is not stillness, but trusting the wobble.
It’s a practice, moment by moment, breath by breath.

i wanted validation. I wanted acceptance. I wanted a stamp of approval. Ironically, I needed to understand that SELF is a peaceful revolution within me to uplift myself.

...now you sail away from the safe harbor to find your own corner. ...now you have to carve your own path. ...now you are off to great places...

We all talk about forgiveness. We all preach about forgiveness. We all share our experiences about forgiveness. Breathe- Let it go- Let it go!

she needed help- I knew I was that one person who was given the chance to revive her back. I sincerely hope she is smiling wherever she is right now. Keep the good karma flowing!

Kenshō and Satori what do these experiences really mean? Have you had your moments so far?

my friend once asked me, “ why are you always dangling like a pendulum”? That got me thinking real hard!
